Hereby agree that Zwartkops Raceway, Xtreme Corp (Pty)Ltd t/a Kartzone, Zwartkops Raceway’s / Xtreme Corp’s (Pty)Ltd t/a Kartzone directors / representatives / employees / members / agents and/or any promoter, organizer, guarantor and/or sponsor of any competition/practice/event as well as the owners of the property on which the competition/practice/event is held, shall not be held liable under any circumstance for any damage done by any vehicle or person entered by/driven in or attended upon by me in any competition/practice/event or for any personal injury-fatal or otherwise or loss of whatever kind (including but not limited to patrimonial and/or non-patrimonial damages) sustained by myself or by any person riding/driving in or attending upon it or any person whatsoever, whether caused during any competition or practice run or event, or while the said vehicle is on any road or area forming part of the track or route or premises, or any deviation therefrom or any approach by whatever means such damage, injury or loss may be caused and even though the same may be contributed to or caused by the negligence or gross negligence of any employee, official, agent or representative of Zwartkops Raceway, Xtreme Corp (Pty)Ltd t/a Kartzone or any promoter, organizer, guarantor or sponsor of the competition/practice/event or the owner/s of the property on which the competition/practice/event is held. I hereby indemnify Zwartkops Raceway, Xtreme Corp (Pty)Ltd t/a Kartzone, Zwartkops Raceway’s / Xtreme Corp’s (Pty)Ltd t/a Kartzone’s directors / representatives / employees / members / agents and/or any promoter, organizer, guarantor and sponsor of the competition/practice/event and the owner/s of any property on which the competition/practice/event is held against all and any liability for any damage or injury so done or sustained as aforesaid by myself or any other such persons as aforesaid. I further declare that I am aware of the risks, dangers and perils attendant upon motorcar/kart/motorcycle racing or any form of motoring competition/practice/event, which I hereby fully assume. This indemnity shall apply to all competitions/practice/event runs in which I take part in any capacity.

Warning – Motorsport is dangerous. In view of the high speeds attained by the competitors/participants accidents can happen. The  owners, promoters and organizers of this event/competition and facility cannot guarantee your safety. You are present at your own  risk.

I further declare that: I am medically fit to participate;. I AM AWARE THAT I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF MEDICALTREATMENT,  and that I am not under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol or any such substance, I am also not pregnant. In case of emergency, I authorize any qualified medical person to treat me.

I acknowledge that I understand and will adhere to the Rules & Conduct noted below:

• Blocking, weaving, swerving and bumping is prohibited – only one warning is given thereafter disqualification (with no refund)

• Braking later than the brake markers is forbidden and is considered dangerous.

• Marshals/Officials/Staff instructions either verbally or by flag/signal are to be always obeyed.

• Karts may only proceed in anti-clockwise direction. (unless specifically advised not to)

• No driving permitted under influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance.

• No driving if pregnant or if you suffer from any serious medical conditions.

• Please ensure all head hair is tied up, tucked in and can’t come loose when driving. In the event it does please stop safely immediately and wait for a marshal to attend. No loose items of clothing to be worn whilst driving. Only closed shoes permitted when driving.

• Hairnets or balaclavas must be worn under your helmet.

• Make sure your helmet is always secured – ask a Marshall/staff member to assist if you if necessary.

• Please always keep all body parts in the kart, and away from any moving parts.

• In the event of an accident/emergency or stoppage, wait for assistance from a Marshall.

• Please always keep both hands on the steering wheel – exceptions: please raise your right hand/arm to indicate that you are coming to a stop, to indicate danger or when entering the pit lane

• When entering/exiting the pits keep right and do so with caution. Drive at walking speed in the pit lane.

• The engine, exhaust and other parts are hot, please do not touch them at all.

• If you get injured or require any assistance, please inform our staff immediately.

• Motorsport is dangerous so please show respect to those around you and yourself, as well as to the karts.

• We do not refund after the session has started under any circumstance

• Please make sure you don’t have loose or sharp objects on you when driving e.g., Keys, Phones, Wallet etc.

• Damage caused to our karts/property as a result of dangerous, reckless or negligent driving may be charged to you.

• In the interest of your safety & for your subsequent enjoyment, it is recommended to drive your first few laps at a reduced speed

If any signatory to this indemnity is under 18 years of age or you are accepting full responsibility for any minors (under 18 the following addition is also to be completed.

in my capacity of parent/guardian/curator/responsible person hereby consent to the participation of my son/daughter/ward/minor in any form of Motorsport. I further agree that this form of consent be read as part and parcel of, and together with the above-mentioned form of indemnity/rules which I have also read and signed on this day the contents of which are fully understood by me and my son/daughter/ward/minor. I hereby acknowledge that I am fully conversant with, and assume the risks, danger and perils of any form of Motorsport, karting included.
